He loved all sports, but loved the game of football "Coach Meds" coached youth football for 9 years at Holy Innocents and freshman football for 5 years at Roncalli High School. Bob was employed at Imperial Eastman (Parker) for 38 years until his retirement. On Aughe married Dianne Wier in Manitowoc. Bob played high school football for the Ships, went on to play for US Army, playing throughout Europe, continued at UW Stevens Point and returned to the lakeshore and played several more years with the Manitowoc Chiefs. He served in the US Army from 1955 until 1958 with the 10th Mountain Division.
